Reverting to a previous version

Sometimes you may save a file and later want to revert to a previous version of the file. This is possible with Office2. It keeps up to 10 previous versions of each file and lets you revert to any one of those versions. To revert to a previous version, press the round blue button next to the relevant file in the file list.

In the view that appears, press the Previous Versions field. If the file has been previously saved you will see at least one entry in the list of versions. The Versions view contains a Preview button so that you can select one of the previous versions and view it before committing to revert to it. Once you have found the version that you wish to revert to, ensure that it is selected and press the Revert button. You will be asked to confirm your action. When you press YES, Office2 will revert the file.

Press the button at the left of the navigation bar to return back to the previous view. Press it again to return back to the file list. If the file list is sorted by modified time and you have reverted to a previous version you may find that the file will now appear later in the list.
